Paul shaw took this photo of a Grey Seal pup taken at Donna Nook, Lincolnshire on the 27th November. He used a Nikon D7000 with 500mm F4, and a Gitzo tripod with a Wimberley head.
It's also worth mentioning that this photo was taken from the viewing area, and not on the beach. Going beyond the viewing area can cause much distress to the seals which can lead to pup fatalities. As a wildlife photographer the welfare of the subject should always be the priority. Great photos can be had in the viewing area, although you sometimes need to be a bit more creative.
