Scientific name:  Cardamine pratensis

Size:  Can grow to 60cm.  Normally around 30cm

Distribution:  Found throughout the U.K.

Flowering months:  March to June

Habitat:  Found in damp meadows and ditches

Special features:  Blue-green coloured stems with very narrow leaves.  The flowers can be white to purple in colour.  This plant is sometimes called 'Lady's Smock' because the flowers resemble the shape of milkmaids smocks.
