Snail Carnivorous Slugs

Slugs Attacking a Snail - Photo © Copyright 2005 Reeko Beer

UK Safari Tip:
Find out what creatures are lurking in your garden with the identification chart called "Bugs on Bushes" - click here

Reeko Beer seems to have a knack of spotting unusual, and sometimes gross behaviour in minibeasts. This month he sent us a photo of a 'pack' of slugs killing and then eating a garden snail. "Garlic butter anyone?"

There must be a few gardeners reading this who wished they had carnivorous slugs in their garden rather than the common hosta-munching vegetarian variety.
