Soaring by Kelvin Dean

This shot of a Red Kite in flight was taken from the hide at Gigrin Farm, Powys,
Wales by Kelvin Dean.
Kelvin used a Canon EOS 300d with a 300mm Sigma lens doubled up with a 2x
converter, and taken at f6.3 iso 400, 1/2000s.
The camera was hand held, so it was a lucky shot considering the 600mm focal
length, but as Kelvin said, it can be very tricky to follow the birds in flight
using a tripod.
