This photo of a Grey seal pup was was taken by Lea White-Phillips using a Canon SLR
fitted with an 18-55mm lens. The shot was taken at Donna Nook in Lincolnshire back in December.
When they are newly born the pups are all white and gradually darken to grey. When we used to have
harder winters with plenty of snow the white fur would have provided the pups with good camouflage. In
today's climate it usually has the opposite effect. more>
