Scientific name: Tritomegas bicolor Size: Approximately 6mm Distribution: Found in most parts of England. Months seen: April to October Food: Plant sap Habitat: Hedgerows, woodland edges, parks and gardens. Special features: Pied Shieldbugs have a very flattened body. As the name suggests they're mostly black with some white patches. The patches are variable in size and shape. The black legs are spiny.
