Forgetmenot Shieldbugs

     


Scientific name:  Sehirus luctuosus

Size:  Approximately 7mm

Distribution:  Scattered distribution in parts of England.

Months seen:  April to October

Food:  Plant sap 

Habitat:  On Forget-me-not plants.  Prefers sandy locations.

Special features:  Forgetmenot Shieldbugs have an all black body, and spiny black legs.  The body is flattened, as with other shield bugs
