Ladybird  16-Spot Ladybird

Latin name: Micraspis 16-punctata

Size: Approximately 5mms long

Distribution: Found in many parts of the U.K.

Months seen: March to October

Food: Mildew

Habitat: Meadows and fields.

Special features: Several of the black spots merge together. The wing casings are a mustard yellow colour. Often found in large groups.
