January weather produces some beautiful sunrises and sunsets. When you see the bright red and orange colours streaming through the branches of the leafless trees, you understand why early man believed that trees held the secret of fire.
All that lovely colour splashing over the clouds is caused by warm Gulf Stream air running into cold Arctic air. These fiery skies only last for a few minutes so keep your camera ready to capture those special skyscapes.
