Distribution: Can be found in many parts of the UK, but very scattered distribution

Habitat: Found on rocks, walls, stone steps, logs and wooden fences
Food: Small invertebrates
Special features: Fencepost Jumping Spiders have a very flattened grey-brown coloured body. The top of the abdomen features some cream and black patches. The whole body, and especially the front pair of legs are very hairy. Like other jumping spiders they move in a jerky fashion - moving a few steps rapidly then stopping suddenly.
