Size: Up to 6mm
Distribution: Found throughout the UK
Months seen: All year round, but mostly June to September
Habitat: In dark and damp locations such as cellars, drains, under rocks, and in gardens under decking
Food: Small invertebrates
Special features: Cavity Spiders have quite distinctive dark and light brown markings on the shiny, rounded abdomen. The carapace is light brown with a dark central band and a dark band around the edge. The long, thin legs are light brown with dark bands.
