Food: Nectar. The twig-like caterpillars feed on hawthorn and rowan
Special features: Brimstone moths have creamy-yellow coloured wings with some small brown and grey spots on the wings.
The twig-like caterpillars can be found between May and July. They may be green (mainly in the north) or brown in colour. They have a hump about half way along their back. When fully grown they are about 3cm long.
